How long should I leave my tattoo bandage on?
Leave the bandage on for a minimum of 45 minutes but no more than an hour. Do NOT remove the bandage until you are ready to wash the tattoo.
What should I do after I remove my tattoo bandage?
Immediately upon removing the bandage, wash the tattoo using a liquid anti-bacterial soap such as liquid Dial. Using lukewarm water and your fingers (absolutely no wash cloths, sponges, or loofas), wash the tattoo at least 2 or 3 times daily, but it will not hurt if the tattoo is washed more than 3 times a day. Continue washing it until it no longer feels slimy. Wash your tattoo 2 or 3 times a day for the entire healing period. Rinse tattoo thoroughly.
How do I dry my new tattoo?
Pat the tattoo dry using disposable paper products such as paper towel or tissue. Do not use cloth bath towels as they harbor bacteria.
How long should I wait before applying aftercare ointment?
Always let the tattoo air dry for an additional 10 to 15 minutes before applying A & D Ointment.
How do I apply aftercare ointment?
Using your finger tips, apply a super thin film of ointment. It is utterly important that you put the ointment on as thin as possible. If you put it on too thick, it will draw the ink out of the skin, so put it on just enough to keep the skin moist, not greasy (3 times a day, for 3 to 5 days).
What if my tattoo starts peeling?
This is perfectly normal. Your tattoo will begin to peel with 3 to 5 days. DO NOT PICK OR SCRATCH YOUR TATTOO. Let the peeling fall off naturally. If scabbing occurs do not pick your scab. If the scab is picked it will pull the color out with it.
Help! My tattoo is itchy, what should I do?
Some irritation or soreness may occur. During healing, the tattoo might itch. Do not scratch! You can relieve the itching by gently slapping your tattoo.
Can I shave over my tattoo?
No, do not shave over your tattoo for 3 weeks.
Can I wear clothing over my tattoo?
If at all possible, keep clothing off of your tattoo for 3 weeks.
Can I go swimming with my new tattoo?
Absolutely no swimming, saunas, baths, or hot tubs for 3 weeks.
Can I go under the sun with my new tattoo?
Absolutely NO DIRECT SUNLIGHT on your tattoo for a minimum of 3 weeks. This includes tanning booths. After the 3 week healing period, keep the tattoo covered with sunscreen whenever in the sun for the rest of your life. Having your tattoo exposed to sunlight without sunscreen will only fade your tattoo. It is your responsibility to keep your tattoo nice and bright.

Notice that a person may be allowed to donate blood within the standard deferral period if the person presents a copy of his/her client record provided by the body art facility to the blood donor facility.

How can I prevent infections from my piercing?
Always make sure you wash your hands with antibacterial soap before touching your piercing. Especially under your fingernails. More bacteria reside under your nails than anywhere else on your body.
How often should I clean my piercing?
Your new piercing should be cleaned three times daily unless activities require more (exercising, sweating, etc.).
What should I expect after my piercing? How do I clean it?
You may notice a dry, crusty build-up on your piercing site with H2Ocean spray or use sea salt and water at a ratio of 1 tbs. sea salt to 1/2 Dixie cup of water. Slide jewelry back and forth a few times when cleaning to distribute cleaning agent through the piercing and then again when rinsing to remove all residues.
Should I turn my piercing?
DO NOT turn or play with jewelry unless cleaning. Too much turning can irritate and/or cause unnecessary swelling.
What should I keep out of my piercing?
DO NOT use alcohol or hydrogen peroxide, which can over dry, nor should you use petroleum jelly based ointments or creams (Neosporin, Vaseline, etc.) which will clog the piercing and block air passage which is essential to healing.
What if I have clothing covering my piercing?
Avoid tight clothing (belts, stockings, tight jeans, etc.) as they can rub and pull, irritating the piercing.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?
A 48 hour notice is required to cancel and reschedule an appointment to avoid losing your deposit.
Do I need to make a deposit for a tattoo?
Please keep in mind that a deposit will be required to make an appointment with every artist. The deposit amount will vary according to each individual artist and the deposit amount will be instructed by management, this deposit will hold your time with the artist of your choice and it will be discounted off the last hour of your completed tattoo.
Are deposits refundable?
Deposits ARE NOT refundable under any circumstance.
